The Dubai Mall Spokesman said that the small leakage in Dubai Aquarium of Dubai Mall was immediately brought under control by the aquarium maintenance team.

Dubai Civil Defence spokesman Mahmoud Hamad said they received information of a minor leak in the aquarium at 12.06pm.

He said two teams led by Colonel Ahmed Al Sayeq, Deputy Director of the Dubai Civil Defence from Al Qouz and Hamriya rushed to the mall and cordoned off the ground floor and basement.

a few weeks ago, i had a chance to visit the newly opened Dubai Mall..the biggest shopping mall built today. One of the famous and extravagant attraction was the indoor aquarium.
"The aquarium at The Dubai Mall, has clinched a world record. Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre has clinched the Guinness World Record for the world's Largest Acrylic Panel, measuring 32.88 metres wide x 8.3 metres high x 750mm thick and weighing 245,614kg. Built as the biggest mall in the world (to have 2,000+ shops when fully completed), the newly opened Dubai Mall is fast becoming everyone's favorite mall in Dubai, it's becoming famous not just for shopping but also for aquamarine sightseeing. This mall is located at The Burj complex where the tallest building in the world can be seen (another grand sight, will save that for another post).
